Amprolium Hydrochloride soluble powder 20%

Composition: Contains per gram powder:
Amprolium Hydrochloride 200 mg
Carrier ad.  Up to 1 g

Indications:
It is used for the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis outbreaks in poultry, turkeys, cattle, sheep, goats & pigs. 

Contra-indications
The use of Amprolium is prohibited from a laying age onwards. Do not administer to poultry whose eggs are intended for human consumption, or to animals with impaired hepatic and/or renal functions. Do not administer to turkeys before the age of 8 to 10 weeks.

Posology and method of administration
Poultry:
The drug is given according to the following schedule:
- 30 gm / 25 lit of water 5 - 7 days (usual outbreak).
- 30 gm / 50 lit of water 5 - 7 days (mild outbreak).
- 30 gm / 100 lit of water 7 - 14 days (maintenance in all cases).
Cattle, Sheep, Goats & Pigs:
- 2.5 mg / 10 kg B.wt. for 5 days in severe outbreak the dose can be doubled. 
Amprolium may be given as a drench in milk replaces or in drinking water.

Side effects:
Prolonged high dose treatment may result in delayed growth or poly-neuritis (caused by reversible thiamine deficiency). The development of natural immunity may be delayed.

Withdrawal Times:  
 Meat : 3 days 
Milk : 3 days

SHELF LIFE: 3 years

STORAGE: Protect from light and store in a cool dry place and below 30ºC.
