Iron dextran injection

Active ingredients:

Iron dextran 10g

Excipient : q.s.p  100ml

Uses: 

For the prevention and treatment of iron deficiencies in cattle, sheep, goats and pigs.

Dosage and administration:

By intramuscular injections 

Prevention:

Calf :3 to 4 ml at birth 

Lamb, kid: 1 to 2 ml per 10kg body weight

Piglets:1 to 2 ml, the third day after birth 

Treatment: a second injection should be given 8 days after the first one

Contra-indications ,Warnings :

Not for use in calves for veal production 

Side effects:

Coloured skin might occure on injection site

Withdrawal time:

Offal and meat : none 

Storage: 

Store in a cool, dry place and protect from sunlight, store below 30°C
